G’day guys.

Hope your week is smooth sailing and loads of fun.

If fat loss is on your resolution list for the year, you’d better look closely at what you are eating.

If you’ve not written up your own food diary, please do. One day is suffice.

It’s the best way for you to check how much you are eating and what.

I still recommend the My Fitness Pal app as it gives you everything you’d like to know about what you are eating with calories, macronutrient ratios and more.

With a New Year brings New Year’s resolutions.

There’s almost always a resolution regarding your weight or your appearance or your exercise habits or your food or health.

How many times have you made one of these resolution only to not achieve it?

Will You Actually Do It?

It’s all well and good for me to tell someone ‘this is how you do it,’ but I can’t do it for you.

I’m sure you’ve heard from me and hundreds of others about what you need to do to lose fat, build muscle and feel good.

If that’s the case, why do you do what you do?

You know what to do…

… drink plenty of water, have plenty of protein, eat your vegetables, stretch, get 8 hours sleep, etc.

How many of those essential habits do you do on a daily basis?

The resolution isn’t the problem.

The problem is, the resolution is usually outcome based and you need to develop and apply habits regularly to achieve the outcome.

If you focus on just the outcome, you often miss all the vital steps to actually producing the result.

It’s the development and consistent application of these habits that make all the difference over the long term and chip away at your results in the short term.

So I encourage you to choose the following habits as your goals or resolutions for the year and keeping them up in the years following.

Breathing Practice

Water Quality

Strength Training

Just Eat Real Food

Running Sprints

Mobility, Flexibility and Stretching

Meditation and Moving Meditations

Limit Alcohol and Liquid Calories

Get Good Quality Training Shoes

Walk and Hike and Get Outside

Eat Vegetables with Every Meal

Limit Processed Sugar

Take a Multivitamin

Laugh More

Eat Organic Food

If you practice implementing one habit every 2-3 weeks and keep them up, you’ll be doing all these things regularly in 6-12 months.

If you don’t do it, it’s the same thing I’ll be telling you next year and the following.

Seriously, if you were doing all these things regularly, you’d look and feel pretty damn good.

Bear in mind, it may take your body some time to adapt.

If you have abused your body with work and training and no sleep and alcohol and food and drugs and who knows what else, it’ll take far longer for the body to rebuild your health and then make the required adjustments.

Your body understands that it need to be healthy
on the inside to reflect what’s happening on the outside.

You need to understand that too.

Health is number one and without it, life falls apart.

But have a crack at making these habits your own and your world and physique will change to match your new, vibrant level of health.

Have a great week and if you need anything, please ask away.

We want to see you dominate your goals this year and especially your own transformation.
